Hi Pam, I am so happy you joined us here :) You know how I love your work, and your printable collages :) I used some on the last bookmark I made.

Hi!
I'm sure you've all seen me around the place. I'm Tiffani and live in Ohio (originally from the West Coast). I like to make collages from vintage finds as well as decoupage and create layered scrapbook pages.

I have never tried a bookmark though, strangely enough.

Oh yes, I know you *wink, but I didn't know you lived in Ohio.
I have a very good online friend in Ohio, known her for years but we have never met. Same for Pam and I, we have known each other online for years too.

Hello Ladies,
I just joined today and am looking around, checking things out. My name is Gail, I love creating altered art, work in mixed media, collage and also digital collage (which I've hopelessly become addcited to) and most of the work I create is vintage in style. I have an Etsy shop, a blog and a web store...all under the name Shabby Cottage Studio. I wanted to just say hi and I'm glad I found this group!

Great to have you Gail, maybe you can teach me a thing or two.

What program are you using for your digital art? I used to be a graphic artist but got out of it for a while. I know Paint Shop Pro really well but need to take some classes on Photoshop which I also have now.

Lynn, I use Photoshop Elements 5. I love it! There are some things I can't do with it that Photoshop users can but I haven't found that detrimental to anything I do yet. I just had three pieces published in Somersets new magazine Digital Studio and was humbled & thrilled to be in such talented company as I've only been working with digitals for a little over a year now. But like I said, I am hopelessly addicted. ;-)

I don't have that one Gail, but I will have a look online for it. I have Photoshop CS, Image ready and illustrator, not ever used them. My daughter needed it for college and so I have it on my computer now.

I have never heard of that magazine, wonder if we get it in Canada, but congratulations, that is amazing to be in any magazine:)

Lynn, you can get Somerset Digital here -- I bought my copy at Indigo in downtown Toronto -- check in Chapters as they carry other Somerset publications.

I love to work with paper -- I love to buy paper -- I see the beautiful papers and I gather them up -- sometimes just to look at them!! I do collage and cards (I started with cards), tags, bookmarks, gift bags, altered journals.

I just started keeping my own art journal which I love doing every day -- I use all the scraps I have and allow myself to be creative without "thinking" it too much first thing in the morning. A wonderful way to start the day.

The art journal sounds great Sherry. Along the same lines as a discovery journal where you cut out pictures of anything that catches your eye in magazines etc and paste them in your book. I started that one years ago when I first read "Simple Abundance". Only I don't do it much these days. Seems I sit on the computer first thing in the morning now :)

Ah, Simple Abundance...loved that...and Something More...as a matter of fact, I loved all of Sarah Ban Breathnach's books, but it was Something More that really made me a convert (I was talking about her on my Inspire blog the other day). I tried to do that discovery journal and got as far as cutting out things that appealed...and I've gone through it and started adding those things to my art journal every day ... it just feels good to do it, and if that's the only creative thing I've done in a day, at least I know I have done that! The computer...we love it but it can be such a tough mistress!! lol ...
